NiceSpeak privacy policy
Effective August 13, 2026
NiceSpeak rewrites text you choose to submit from the Slack or Google Chat composer. It does not read your Slack or Google Chat history, send messages on your behalf, or sell personal data.
Data we process
- Draft text: the message you ask NiceSpeak to rewrite.
- Chat context: limited workspace, channel, or conversation identifiers used to apply the request correctly.
- Extension settings: the NiceSpeak server address and optional access token, stored by Chrome sync.
- Service data: basic request timing, error, and security information needed to operate the service.
How we use data
We use submitted text only to produce the requested rewrite, secure the service, diagnose errors, and measure reliability. We do not use chat drafts for advertising or sell them.
Storage and deletion
Drafts are encrypted with AES-256-GCM while briefly stored for processing and are hard-deleted after 10 minutes. Extension settings remain in your Chrome profile until you change them or remove the extension.
Service providers
NiceSpeak sends submitted text to the model provider required to generate the rewrite. Hosting, database, and monitoring providers may process limited data only to operate NiceSpeak. We require providers to protect data and restrict its use to providing their service.
Your choices
NiceSpeak runs only when you request a rewrite. You can keep your original draft, remove the extension, or ask us to delete service data associated with you where applicable.
